I’m already with EPCOR, do I need to switch?

EPCOR offers consumers two utility service options: Encor (the competitive rate option) and EPCOR Energy Alberta (the Regulated Rate Option or RRO). Although both energy retailers are part of the same parent company, Encor provides both fixed and floating rates for electricity and natural gas with plans. Customers who are on the RRO with EPCOR and want to take advantage of Encor’s new, low fixed-rate can make the switch online or by calling 310-4300.

How do I sign up?

Switching to Encor is easy! Sign up online or by calling us at 310-4300 and we’ll make all the arrangements for you.

How do I cancel?

You can make changes to your energy plan to meet your current needs or cancel at any time without penalty. Our customer service team of energy experts can answer all of your questions and help you understand your options. It's as easy as calling us at 310-4300 or visiting the My Account portal.

Is Encor available in Calgary?

Encor is proud to be Alberta based – just like you. We are the competitive retailer for EPCOR and offer a variety of electricity and natural gas plans for residential and commercial customers in Alberta – including Calgary.

How much are Encor’s transmission and distribution fees?

Whether you choose a Regulated or Competitive Retailer, your distribution company and the delivery portion of your energy bill won't change from one retailer to the next. It’s based on the community you are in and the cost to service that area. You can learn more here.

What’s the difference between Encor and EPCOR?

We’re glad you asked! EPCOR offers consumers two utility service options: Encor (the competitive rate option) and EPCOR Energy Alberta (the Regulated Rate Option or RRO). Although both energy retailers are part of the same parent company, Encor provides both fixed and floating rates (variable) for electricity and natural gas with plans that you’re not locked into and that you can cancel anytime without penalty. What’s Encor’s administration fee?

We pride ourselves on having one of the lowest administration fees amongst major utility providers. The administration fee is an average of $0.27 per day, per site, for each electricity and natural gas service. Learn more about your Encor energy bill here.
